HAZARD REPORTS

NORTH SANTIAM RIVER

HOME LTR Learn the River Monthly Meetings Fish Counts & river levels

I visited the Green's Bridge launch February 16, 2024 and found that cement barriers are now placed on the north side of the launch access road to avoid driving into the muddy area under the bridge.

The launch area currently has a layer of sand and dirt over the river rock area that is used when launching or taking-out. In dry weather it may be usable. In wet weather there is a good chance of getting stuck in the dirt unless you have good traction.
Dryer weather and lower water will improve launching. Currently only one narrow area is available with rock to reach the water for launch or take-out. Photos will be posted soon.

This note posted February 22, 2024 A.M.

ODFW currently has a hazard warning sign posted at the Green's Bridge gate - - - - not safe for rafts or small float devices. We are in the process of checking with ODFW, OR Marine Board and the Linn & Marion County Sherreiff Dept. river patrol units for an update.

We are working on an update to post prior to our March 16, 2024 LTR.
